Muffler Man

09/26/1999 - Sherman Way near Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuys, California.
Much has been written about Muffler Men, but I've only seen three in the wild. You may have noticed the Muffler Man who shows up briefly in the opening credits of The Sopranos.
This one lives outside an oil change & lube shop... his muffler is long gone, and for some reason his kerchief has been painted black in the two years since this photo was taken.

This is exciting stuff that I couldn't have imagined getting my hands on when I got my Olympus digicam back in 1999.
